What it is
Iron Ball is a management game in the Speedball 2 line. You take a club, sign players, set the tactics and read the league table. You never touch the controls during a match: the arena is simulated, stat by stat, and you watch it or skip it.
Every player carries six stats, an injury history and a temperament. Every side has a shape and a strategy. The league runs on a shared signal, Kadiss, which carries strategy to the players and can go down when the club cannot pay for it.
The online league
The live server at ironball.nanonix.net carries the online league and the co-operative club. Two managers sign in, submit a squad and a set of tactics, and the server settles the week.
- Sign in with a device id. No account, no password.
- Create a league or join one with a code. Up to eight managers a league.
- Submit each week: the squad, the routine and the tactics sheet.
- Read the round as it settles. The IronMind comments on the match and keeps the record.
